Healthy snacking with Cherry Tomatoes

Do you or your kids crave for snacks in between meals very often?

Do you wish there were healthier yet delicious snack options available?

Let me share a healthy and really yummy snack you can prepare easily for yourself and the kiddos… using cherry tomatoes.

Health Benefits of cherry tomatoes (adapted from healthyeating.sfgate.com):

  • Contains Vitamin B-6 which helps your body metabolize protein and supports cognitive development and brain function. The nutrient also aids in producing red blood cells and immune function.
  • Contains Vitamin A which keeps your eyes working properly. The vitamin also aids your body in producing white blood cells and keeps your heart, lungs and kidneys working properly.
  • Contains lycopene, an antioxidant that lowers your risk of certain diseases caused by cellular damage, decreases your risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer.
  • Contains compounds that might offer protection against osteoporosis, skin damage caused by ultraviolet light and brain disorders.

Ingredients: Cherry tomatoes and preserved orange peel (chopped finely).
