Happy 2nd Birthday to our Beloved Julien!

Words cannot express how much we love our eldest son.

WE LOVE HIM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!

Look at the koi jelly Grandma (lovingly and painstakingly) made for him on his birthday!

Some of my friends had asked me what did the eyes of the jelly fishes contain.

Answer =Black beans!

Had very ‘old style’ food for family celebration. It was the kind of food that my mum prepared for my birthday party when I was a kid. Eating the food, such as the cocktail on satay sticks, evoked many beautiful memories. :)

And according to Grandma, birthdays are incomplete without….

RED EGGS!

THE birthday boy has to be the first to crack and consume one of these eggs! Julien was very eager to oblige as you can tell from the photo below …….. His tongue salivating already!

We got a Strawberry Shortcake from Four Leaves. Our little Tiger turns 2!

And here are Julien’s presents…

Uncle Dude fixing the smaller toys together with many of the kiddy helpers. It took a long time because as the saying goes… ‘Too many cooks spoil the broth’!

Kitchen set from Robinsons. His water bottles looks out of place because it is a tad too gigantic to blend in……. Daddy later hid it in the toy oven much to the fury of Julien who was hunting high and low for it to drink from!

You have no idea how much Julien loves to play kitchen at this season of his life. He often ‘steals’ our utensils, plates, bowls and cutlery to play with them!

When the hubby and I went to Toys R Us to scout for his present, we couldn’t find anything suitable at the boys’ section. On the other hand, many things looked really suitable at the girls’ section! My other mummy friends say it is VERY normal for boys his age to like things such as kitchen sets, ironing sets. Phew!

I know it sounds so cliché but time really do fly! This baby of mine has grown to be an active, adorable, endearing little big boy.

Now here are a series of photos I took of my boy rolling on the floor and making funny faces. The best photos of kids are taken candid!

He looks soooo happy, must be having lots of fun with this bday pressies!

And yes, my boy loves playing 'cooking' too... and doesn't like the fake items, wanna use real spoons etc to cook and scoop! You are very bold to let Julien play with the ukulele, I'm afraid my boy will smash it, have been keeping it out of reach from him. :P
