It had been years since I last went to Johor Bahru. And it’s time to go now since the currency exchange rate is so favourable for us!
Singaporeans drive in for all the same reasons – food, beauty services, shopping, massage. And today, my hub and I together with our friends drove in for these reasons as well.
While Jared and our friends get themselves ‘tortured’ at the massage parlour, I went down to a nearby nail boutique to get a pedicure done.
Classic pedicure that came with scrub and a simple foot massage cost cheaper than the classic pedicure in SG.
Loving my nail color. It sometimes looks golden, sometimes greenish, sometimes bronze.
I also shopped myself happy at one of the boutiques.
Here’s brunch at a coffeeshop…
A must-have for me whenever I eat in Malaysia – White coffee peng (iced white coffee)
We had our dinner at a classy Chinese restaurant at Sutera Mall.
Beancurd with a layer of minced seaweed or spinach or something… Very delicious!
Don’t worry, this is no sharksfin but Sour and Spicy soup.
When we got the bill, our eyes almost popped at the amount. It was unbelievable!
And of course, not to mention we shopped away at the supermarket and finally bought a chocolate ganache birthday cake for our domestic helper. Such a pretty cake!
What an absolutely fruitful trip we had today!
Coming up, I will have so much to blog. Going to Gardens By the Bay with my family tomorrow and Universal Studios with my colleagues soon! See you soon and have a blessed long weekend!
