Family Christmas Dinner

I really love spending time with family. I also hope Julien will grow up loving his family very much.

Here are some photos from our Christmas gathering!

The yummy food…

Laksa on Christmas? Well, no choice, special request from the fussiest eater around- Jared.

Delicious potato salad made by Val. She used red potatoes, chives, Christmas ham, celery bits, and vinegar, sour cream and mayo for dressing. Heavenly!

Beautiful cheese cake baked by Shulin.

Karen had her own Christmas party but she kindly popped by with her home-made chocolate and white chocolate cupcakes. Yums!

How about me? I did fruit salad… the easiest…!

Conversation with Julien – The Sob Story

Julien became sleepy and hungry at the end…

Now, looking forward to the last round of Christmas service (it’ll be dee best!)… then Christmas partying with my beloved family + in-laws… opening many of Julien’s presents together with him… on Boxing Day. He has many more presents than me… and he doesn’t even know it! ;)

Finally… my Christmas tree is up!

After some quick decisions, we decided to go get a Christmas tree for our house. Afterall, we are holding some Christmas parties at our house. And what’s a Christmas party @ home without a Christmas tree??!

And so, after making a trip to Carrefoure and Ikea… we got ourselves a tree complete with alot of decorations for under $100!

We initially wanted a tree decorated with purple and silver… But,. Ikea changed our minds. It stocked so many affordable, unique decorations, many of which seemed to be handmade.

Here are the lovely deco we’ve got….

And we got our 1.8m tree for under $50 from Carrefoure.

But it was hard work setting up the tree stem and branches and then transforming it from a naked looking tree…

IMG_0931

… to a healthy looking Christmas tree!

The end result was an affordable but beautiful blue and red Christmas tree!

I had my first great Christmas party a day after I put up the tree… What a wonderful time E99 had!

Christmas gifts

Christmas is fast approaching and that also means gift exchanges are coming up!

I absolutely enjoy shopping for friends and wrapping their gifts up nicely. That is if I have MORE time. I really dislike rush jobs and impulse buying….

I remembered someone gave me a rather simple flower pin before but had it wrapped sooooo beautifully that I felt very happy receiving the gift… even though I didn’t wear the pin at all!

But of course, if you are buying a gift for me, do try to figure something that I like or will use! ;p

And so, the very inspired me wrapped up one of my gift…IMG_0925

Well, it was the one and only gift that I had wrapped thus far. What ‘great’ progress! –_- The rest are still waiting for me to ‘dress’ them up! IMG_0926

Looking forward to giving away all these presents and hopefully bringing a smile to many faces this season :)

And not forgetting… Church! Yes, how can you go through Christmas without attending church?? I am really excited for my church service which includes another amazing, awesome, fabulous drama performance! Message me if you are interested to join me… Admission is free! :)

Tummy time

I tried to give Julien some tummy time today…

He looked absolutely adorable from behind too… such a small little bundle! Actually, not so small now. He measured 62.5 cm a couple of weeks back. :)

IMG_0918

I wondered how he was coping and went in front of him….IMG_0920

Ewww, he sure didn’t seem to enjoy this….
groan

Julien was trying to lift his head but he still couldn’t. He seemed stuck.. and yes VERY frustrated! The only thing he could do was to kick his legs in anger. What a funny sight really! :p

After naughty mummy had enough fun watching him vent his frustration and making those funny baby noises, I finally carried and propped him back on his bouncer.

IMG_0923

180 degrees change in expression- he was indeed much HAPPIER front up!

And after a while,  I realized he started staring at his arm…!

My dear Julien has become more aware of his surroundings and now his own hand. Another small little milestone!?

Looking forward to many more milestones and hopefully I am able to catch them all on camera!

Julien is such a smiley little boy now. And he has been making all the cute baby sounds so often, we conclude he might grow up talkative. =)

I pray he be a most winsome boy as he grows up!

JARED’S COMPANY’S D&D

A few weeks ago, Jared and I attended his office’s annual D&D in hope of winning an iPad during the lucky draw! Last year, it was indoors and so this year, it was held outdoors at Sentosa. It was a sports themed night and everyone turned up in their very casual outfits.

Fulfilled my secret desire… of getting a tattoo! HAHA, nah!

Nice??

Dinner was held at a pavilion but it was great weather outdoors that evening. I realized only his Caucasian colleagues were sipping wine and chatting under the stars.. All the Singaporeans were seated at the banquet table, getting ready for dinner! ;p

The host for that night was a very entertaining Australian lady. I like her sporty outfit!

IMG_0864

The CEO was super sporting… He serenaded and played on his electric guitar very well!

IMG_0871

Jared’s Indian colleagues dancing to a happening Indian number… Too bad no coconut trees and sand on the beach!

IMG_0877

Kudos to the host for getting the whole crowd to participate!

IMG_0866

Although we did NOT win anything in the end, I must say it was quite a fun time we had there.

Till the next D&D!
