Shabu Shabu Buffet in Phuket!

Quality and cheap food were in abundance at Patong as we switched our hotel to the the Millennium Patong Resort which was sited right next to the Jungceylon mega-mall. Look at Jared, deep in thought, considering the huge array of dining choices……

Since we kinda had enough of Thai food at Kata Beach, we decided to gorge ourselves silly at the fancy international restaurants in and around Jungceylon mall. The prices were all a fraction of Singapore’s prices, so all the feasting did not do too much damage to our wallets. We love them! Great Food + Affordable prices + Great Taste! Here is our first recommendation….

1) Shabu Shabu buffet at Shabushi Patong  --> Eat-All-You-Can within 75 minutes buffet at 320 baht nett after taxes or SGD 14.50.

Additional 20 baht will be charged for every additional 10 minutes.

This restaurant was newly opened, not more than a week old. Check out the cool interiors!

Open-concept kitchen!

Choose your soup base. Choices include tom yum, clear soup etc…..

READY –> GET SET –> START!!!! We’ve only got 75 mins! The Singaporean couple seated opposite us were taking plate after plate from the conveyor belt! They made us look like amateurs in a buffet restaurant!

Sushi galore at the cooked-food section.

IMG_0736

Free flow of tempura prawns, gyozas and fish fry. Yummy!

Shabu shabu meat sticks. There was miso soup available as well.

View from where we sat. Just pick any steamboat item rolling along the conveyor belt

Huge sauce/condiment selection to go with your food. Jared counted at least 9 !

IMG_0770

Free flow drinks. The good variety includes the usual soft drinks, fruit punch, chrysanthemum tea and green tea. Approach the beer lady in white and green uniform if you want some Thai beer at extra charge!

IMG_0763

Not forgetting some desserts. Hot ones includes red bean soup and cold ones include fruit salad + ice-cream. Yummy, no more space in my stomach to fill them…….

IMG_0766

Upon breaching the 60 mins mark, the restaurant manager came up to gently remind us we have 15 mins to go before the surcharges start. So nice of him, we are sure in Singapore this does not happen!!!

IMG_0768

And finally, the bill! We got 10% discount as this was an opening week promotion! only SGD 13 dollars per person!!!

IMG_0769

We felt 75 mins was actually enough for us to fill our stomachs. Just nice! If there was such a buffet in Singapore at such attractive prices, I am sure Jared will be one of the first to get in line!
