Val had gone to Taiwan for a work trip and when she came back, we decided to pick her up and have a family dinner to celebrate Daniel’s belated 21st birthday together.
Where else did we go except for our ‘family restaurant’ – Sakae Sushi @ Airport T2.
We told ourselves that we got to check out Sakae’s membership card this time. We found out that it costs $48 for the whole year and we would get 12% discount for each visit. This means the 5 of us who normally spends $100 each time, got to visit Sakae more than FOUR times a year in order for us to maximize the membership.
Nah, no thanks!
After our meal, we thought of going to Swensen’s as usual for our dessert. But as we walked past Breeks which was opposite Sakae, we saw this….
Available from Mon-Fri only
* One condition was stated- That you’ve got to finish the one dessert you’ve ordered before ordering the next one.
There were about 8-9 types of ice-cream to choose from (see below… Massive Attack and Choc Fondue not included in the buffet) but as long as we ate 2 desserts (each dessert cost $5++ - $7++), it’d be worth our $$$!
So, we decided to give it a try!
Most of the choices were mainly chocolate ice-cream types, so choco lovers will be very happy! In fact, the only ice-cream flavours available were vanilla and chocolate but of course the toppings were varied.
Jared’s 2nd dessert below… Noticed both his cups were VERY BIG…
Jas expressing her GREAT joy while eating her ice-cream…
She truly lives up to the T-shirt that Val bought for her in Taiwan…
And my 2nd serving! How fattening….!!!
We LOVE ice-cream!!!
