Mass Pedicure Session

Today, a few of us colleagues – Grace, Baoting, Cynthia, Wendy, Sandra and I decided to have a gals’ Monday out. And some of us had lunch together at Central Thai restaurant @ Orchard Central (many of the the shops including the eateries are not opened yet!), before we went for a mass pedicure session at Wax in The City @ the same mall! :)

Sadly, we couldn’t all do it together at one go. Wen, San and I decided to wait and go for the 2nd batch.

When it was our turn, we sat in our huge comfy seats. I was feeling rather relaxed until this skinny chap sat in front of me… ready to massage my feet and start the pedicure! I felt absolutely UNEASY! A male pedicurist?? But I got used to it after a while….

Anyway, I did something different today… I requested for crystals.

Not bad. Should be wearing opened-toe shoes for the next few weeks! :)

The more creative part of me

I must stress - ‘MORE creative’. I guess everyone loves creativity. The sense of satisfaction you have in producing a beautiful piece of art in the various forms. Music, paintings, sculptures, stories, food and so many more!

I LOVE being creative! How I wished I was more creative… God hear my cry! I think I am rather arty… but as the saying goes, I am a jack of quite a few trades but a master of none.

I play the piano and guitar. I used to be in drama in primary school… HAHA! I was card-maker in my earlier CGs and my art pieces were often displayed in class. I got quite a good sense of design, colors, etc. So not bad, but not very good either..! As Singaporeans would say, I am ‘ROJAK’.

Anyway, I love being creative… but sometimes, life can get so busy.

Recently, 1 of my pals stirred up the passion and creativity from within me once again. In fact, I think we stirred each other up to restart our engines. So these days, instead of shopping or watching movies, I stay at home (this part Jared likes very much), to do my current hobby or rather my venture- making earrings!

Ahem! Yes, I can do earrings okkkk…. :) And I plan to branch out to make lovely necklaces and bracelets… maybe… Nice dream for now.

Anyway, here are some of my creations which I would be putting up for sale soon. Watch this space for more details coming up! What do you think?

If you can remember, I blogged about this dress (among other desirables) 2 blog posts ago…. Well, yes…. I succumbed to temptation.

The best thing was Shing told me she saw this dress selling at about 50% more expensive in the physical shops!

I am superbly pleased with my 1st blogshop purchase. And it will encourage me to shop online more often. HAHAHA! :)

And as some of the laptops were lagging, we were like scrambling from 1 working laptop to the next to try to hear her properly. HAHA! WindowSHOPPING

Yes, windowSHOPPING…. It’s 1 of my favorite pasttime :)

Well, I guess many of you already know, you can windowSHOP at the comfort of your home…, in front of your laptop or computer… drinking a cup of iced latte… Popping down Hershey’s kisses (Cookies & Cream please)… Listening to Olivia Ong’s soothing music or even our very own latest ‘Writings on the Walls’…. Yes, I am referring to Blogshopping! Online shopping!

I was just surfing some sites and I am feeling super tempted to click the ‘Add to cart’ button so many times!

My members were all geared up and ready for this challenge this afternoon. So 70 of these youth, full of adrenaline, ninja-ed to Pasir Ris Park, very excited!

The worst spelling test for the students. They get smashed by their competitors with a floured sponge if they spell wrongly. HORRID right?

The last station… a very funny one…

The members had to crawl through a maze (2 competing teams at the same time). They were tasked to find 5 safety pins along the way.

They took off their shirts! Joel and Kegin, I got nothing to say… *Applause*!!!! P.S. they haven’t been through NS yet….

But that’s not all… at the end of the maze, a team member had to splash water on them… enough to go to the beach, roll and get sand to stick on their wet parts and go back to a ground sheet to shrug off the sand…. Collect as much sand as possible!

Gee howe was trying to jump in as many variety of ways as possible….

The funniest part is… we found one of our very own members- Ram to be a suitable candidate for a Bollywood love scene…. Of a man expressing his love for his gal… HAHAHAHA! Watch this!

It was really very fun for the members as well as the station masters today! Everyone was very GAME!

The winners (from Garvin’s N391) walked away with vouchers as well as a MEDAL each! WOW!!!
