I just saw the following on FB and I think it’s funny and so true!
Without God, our week would be like this…
I feel really happy and satisfied today. No BIG miracle, no fantastic testimony. It’s just the little little things that added up. :)
I feel happy because…
I started my day looking after a colleague in hospital. It’s true what the Bible says about being blessed by being a blessing! I just feel happy. :)
I met Jiahui there @ the hospital and we 3 had a short but good time with one another.
I did alot of fruitful work today @ the office even though time was shorter today. I pray for wisdom, to be fruitful and to add value to church daily. I love what I do!
I enjoyed preaching today! I hope my members were blessed and made strong decisions….!
Encouraged, imparted, taught and rebuked (!) a good helper today. May she grow strong in her leadership and be of good courage!
Glad to see San come down all the way to find me to go through the word! Yes! The glory of the youth is their strength… so work hard, sow hard and reap well!
Excited to hear about Xiaoshi’s party next week! So many friends! All the way!
Cleaned my old house together with Richard and Sijia after the CG today. Thanks for staying behind and working with me. I feel so much love poured out for my siblings as I washed their toilets just now.
Helped a member to find out some info. He must have thought I have forgotten. Anyway, it was just 2 phonecalls made to find out about the info! Once again, blessed to be a small blessing… :)
So, I just want to say, I am really overflowingly happy in the Lord today! Thank u Jesus for the small small things!
I am so proud of my sister... She just graduated from the SOT 2009 class last Saturday!
Being through SOT, I understood the sacrifices (early mornings and time spent) & hard work (assignments, bible readings, exams) involved... in exchange for a greater knowledge of God and His Word. So well done to Jasmine and to my cg members- Sandy, Seewan, Darren and Nicole! You all made it!!! :)
Here are some pics we took...
Happy family :)
And Jas wanted to capture herself in pictures PREACHING....
Her word must have brought confusion... Dan looked awed, Jared looked pleased and I was giggling... What mixed reactions!
So we tried again...
Jas giving bible study. (She requested that her student looked convicted...)
We really laughed like crazy while taking photos. Jas is really WACKY!
After that, we went out to Sakae for a celebration. We had their supper buffet... YUM!
After that Jas treated us to Swensen's! We took some time to decide what to eat after such a full meal!
We really pigged out...
It was a really good time we had together. I pray Jas will really take the Word and encounters to her life after SOT and shine for Jesus. All the way! :)
Here's another local singer we can be proud of. A 15 year old from Anglican High school - my alma mater! Cai Aijia was #2 in the our local Campus Superstar Competition and now is doing very well as a challenger in Taiwan's Million Star Competition. Check her out!
And here's a little preview of our dear Sun's upcoming single! ENJOY!
Recently, when hubby and me were lazy to go out and eat and yet wanted to have something good, we remembered Il Piccolo. I blogged about it too last year. Read it here.
It's situated at a coffeeshop at Bedok (they have other outlets in the north and west as well) and sells good and affordable pasta. They provide delivery to homes as well... very good for us that day. (:
Here's our spread that night! Cost less than $40.
5 dishes for 2 persons! We were AMBITIOUS!
You might not have guessed this... It's Caesar salad! I loved it! Its ingredients were fresh and plentiful and the sauce was just nice. Delicious!
My Meatball Spaghetti in tomato sauce. WARNING: Do not attempt to finish it by yourself! Reasons because #1: Portion is big, #2: After eating it for awhile, it became je-lat. I think it's a little above average in taste only.
Jared's carbonara. Even I had to agree with him that it was... SUMPTIOUS! I will choose this the next time!
Calamari. Thank God they provided the tartar sauce... I guess it was soggy after a while... Maybe if we had it at the coffeeshop hot and fresh, it would taste much better. It's supposedly one of their recommended dishes.
Baked salmon rice. We had absolutely NO space in our tummies to stomach this. Jared had it for lunch the next day... OK for me cos i think the rice underneath the generous portion of cheese was plain and a bit 'nua'. Not appealing... Looks nice only.
Overall verdict: We still think it's good. Will definitely patronize the place again!
