Archaeological Spring Cleaning

2 days ago, Jared dragged me to his old house to clean up his room.

We unearthed many 'treasures' as we combed through the piles and piles of stuffs.

We found old photos...

We found very old contact lists...

We even dug up the 1st E99 contact list! With contacts like Dawn Leong, Ed Tay, May Chuen, Lifeng, Boon Kiat, both of us etc!

We found.... I don't like this :(

The Titus watch that he bought for his JC girlfriend. She returned it to him after they broke up.

My first words were..." You got girlfriend before meh??"

His first words were..." You know why Titus? Because 天长地久。" *Smirk look*

All the HANDMADE, HANDDRAWN cards I did for him over the years! I used to be E99's card-maker (my cards were always kinda 3D!), and I made his 19th and 20th birthday cards. I also made Christmas cards for zone leaders in the earlier years... when the zone was not so big! So nice right? Heehee....

During Paktor years, I no longer had time to MAKE cards... so I gave him a book-card. Still very sweet.... :)))

If you saw Edmund's blog, he introed a really good Accapella group -Straight No Chaser. I enjoyed them alot! Really interesting and creative group of singers!

Well, Jared too has been drawn to a certain genre of music these days... he has been listening to OPERA the last few nights. And opera songs from the same singers.

Ok, I know you are laughing at my husband now and trying to remember how OLD he is....

When you see this group of singers, you will realize that opera is not just for old fogies. This group of opera singers are NOT your usual who look like this -

Anyway, this Christmas has been the busiest one for me. With the services and friends, audit preparation, salary preparation etc.... I feel like a juggler! I need to be an anointed juggler! Really need to depend on God's grace ALOT this Christmas.

Nail it

It’s a Monday. And here I am searching on the internet for another good manicure place.

I have tried Good Earth Nail Bar, Nails in Vogue, PINC, Nail Palace, Ladyfinger, Ibuta nails and many many more! The worst was this small shop at Bugis Street level 1. The manicurist was not friendly, too young and the nail color was not painted on well at all. Very Cheap but I guess ‘yi fen qian yi fen huo’. Good Earth is one of my personal favorites, but prices are abit steep. So far, I think Ibuta @ Orchard should be the best. The Korean boss did my wedding nails and the price was reasonable. But… I am too lazy to travel there always…

So, today I chanced upon the website of this lady who can do nails at the comfort of your own home! Her prices are OK. So… I picked up the phone for an appointment at my house at 7pm later! We shall see how it turns out to be! I hope it’s going to be VERY good!

I love nail art… beautiful nails. I used to do only the normal manicure and pedicure. Then these couple of years, I began to start a love affair with nail extensions with BEAUTIFUL designs! *Sigggghhh lovingly …*

Too bad my nails are weak and chip very easily. And I play the guitar almost every week.

So some times when there is a break from CG meetings (like now), my nails will be itching… :)

Holiday!

As the year is approaching to 31st Dec, the holiday bug begins to bite…deeeeepppp…

I was taking a break from wrapping presents and was looking through the pictures on the home PC… and I realized - I really miss EUROPE!!!

Here are some beautiful photos!

We started with Greece! The mystical land which I used to know about in books about ancient gods.

I love the white stone houses on Mykonos Island!!! We decided our next house will be mainly WHITE!

Delicious buffet breakfast at our boutique hotel in Mykonos….facing the swimming pool and the beautiful sea… What a view!

I was wrapped up like crazy cos the sun was scorching hot as we tread on this volcano on Santorini Island!

And off we went to Switzerland!

Then off we went up up and away to the cold cold Swiss Alps! It was up to –2 degree celcius in summer time May!

Beautiful alps so near to us…… We thought we were in paintings…!

Beautiful swiss cottages and flowers as we walked half way down the mountain….! (The 1st half we took train and cable car down! We are amazed at the Swiss transport system in the mountain. Further, they are well known for being efficient and super punctual!)

Then we took a nature walk from the bottom of the mountain back to our hotel… So adventurous… but our legs ached like crazy after 1.5hours of walking! Here is the paranomic view as we walked along!

Do you know this is the view opposite our hotel? I open my eyes every morning on my bed and a waterfall in the mountains greet me… indescribable creation of God!

Then off we went to Paris! We remember Paris for…

Then the tower began to emit glittering neon lights at about 10.30pm (Paris time of course!) So cool!

MUSEUMS… AND MORE MUSEUMS! (We visited the Louvre, hotel des Invalides, Musee Rodin etc)

We really miss Europe. It’s really a 1 of a lifetime experience!

Anyway, we settled for a Bangkok trip for the last few days of this year. Though nothing close to Europe, we will have shopping, massage, good food galore and each other … and that’s good enough! :)
