Physical preparation for EMERGE 07!

EMERGE '07 count down . . . . . . . 3 more days!!!

Today is probably my only day I can shop for Emerge... I tried to chiong, but due to limited time, the harvest was average.

It was GSS everywhere! Hai... will someone pay me to shop???

Did my nails @ Bugis Street for the 1st time. Heard the place has many cheap deals for mani & pedi. So I and Szewing ventured into the 1st store we saw there.

SWing painted her nails hot pink with 4 of her fingers with black flowers nail art. Niceee... But mine, was DISASTROUS! The girl who did for me had LONG PAINTED nails herself! How to do properly for me?!

I requested for half a nail to be painted black & the other half painted silver. Then on alternate fingers, stick a small crystal. The manicurist's skill was terrible! Painting was uneven, and the nail was not painted equally! Yucks. Thank God it was cheap. Full French mani with crystals all @ $24.90.

So, if you like poor quality @ low cost, pls visit this store @ Bugis Street that is near the staircase to the 2nd floor... ):p

TORNADO @ Suntec??

"TORNADO!"

When I heard that, I lifted my eyes from my laptop, and I saw some of the staff running towards the windows facing the Marina Bay area...

Hmm? What's happening?? So even though I was in an intense conversation with Peter Teo, I asked him if I can kaypo for awhile and go see what the rest are rushing to see... Heehee... Hai... It's in a woman to be more kaypo and bagua!

Then I bumped into Francis with his N95. He showed me the picture of what the rest were rushing to see... In 5.5 megapixel clearness, I saw a.... Tornado! I immediately rushed out and wished in my heart that the tornado don't move too fast cos ... I also want to take picture!!! HAHA!

Thank God I didn't miss.... Here is the view from the Meeting Room:

So cool....

On MSN, I told Jared I saw a tornado... and he being so knowledgeable told me it must be a 'water-spout', not a real tornado. Wow... Jared is soooo smart... He was right! (As reported by the news)
So some GK for you guys...
Water spouts are rotating columns of air similar in appearance to tornados. They develop over warm ocean currents during unstable conditions or as cold front boundaries pass over the ocean. These are not very dangerous but can affect boats and yachts. Because they are over the ocean, they do not pick up debri but water spray is observed at the base.
Water spouts can develop over the ocean and move over the land. They are then called tornadoes. It is here where water spouts can be dangerous and has caused extensive damage to trees and buildings as well as over turn caravans in coastal communities. Once on the land, they dissipate fairly quickly. On the ocean however, they can last much longer.
Sometimes, tornadoes form over the land and pass over a lake or the ocean. These are then called water spouts despite the difference in the formation processes and dynamics.- By Anna Foley

Beloved I pray that you be in good health...

HAIR STORY...

I re-dyed my hair this week for $140 (Cut, color, good treatment). Black-dark brown base, with bright red ends with streaks of red and gold at my fringe. Sounds happening? NOT! Not v happy with the results because the color is not BRIGHT enough. In fact, I think I look fierce with my black brown base. It's not bcos the stylist is no good... But he thinks my hair is too spoilt! He wants to be VERY careful with the color, the amount of hair bleached etc etc. Thanks ya....

Anyway cut it at this hair salon near my house, amidst the HDB flats & coffeeshop! It's called FUSION. Cool name, cool place! It's 2 stories high. The 2nd storey is where I did my treatment. Here's some pics of the 2nd floor!

There were scented candles, new age music, pebble-framed mirrors, bamboo plants, dim lights... so zennn....

A water feature... If you close your eyes, it's not difficult to think you are @ a SPA!

Look at this! One side of the room's wall! Pebbled walls....

The flooring is made of fake turf of grass with pebbles lined at the sides.

Yes, MY legs & iSqueeze... Oohhhh so shuang!

For interested parties, venue is @ Tampines st. 82, blk 824. :)

This week has been a really busy week... Maybe cos San is also not around... Right now, I am feeling a little feverish... Started to have running nose from 6PM since.... I detest this feeling...
But this is nothing compared to what dear is feeling. I think I would be totally making a BIG fuss if I were him. How to live with chest pains for more than a day?? But it's times like this, that I also feel I want to make him feel treasured.
Today on my way home, just feel... I really LOVE my family very much - Jared, Val, Jas & Dan. U know, with all that has happened in the past, I can't help but sometimes wonder what will happen if I lose another dear one. Man, I would bind that thought in Jesus' mighty mighty name! I really really really really pray ALL of us be in good health!

So many things I want to do!

It's been quite a no. of days since I blogged... Busy with work, zone meetings etc... But it has been exciting...

11/5 - Broke our marriage news to Godma @ Outback restaurant. Oops!

Godpa was on a mission trip to Burma. But they will meet us up again after he is back.

15/5 - Ldrs' mtg @ JW with Ps Derek! Wow wow wow! Wat else can I say?? We worshipped, cried then laughed non-stop... Ps Derek prayed for everyone... YES... EVERYONE. The muzos, sound people and every single leader kena-ed. People fell under the power of God and majority were 'hit' by Holy Laughter!

I will never forget... I was worshipping God peacefully (haha!) & I was suddenly startled by a 'thud!' sound on my left. Lo & behold! Yuan lai it was our dear Lucas who 'flew' 2 rows back & landed beside me on the floor. Minghui was behind him. And the both of them were laughing & giggling NON-STOP! Everytime I stopped laughing, Minghui would go, "HOHOHO, HAHAHA, HEHEHE... (X many times)" in her distinct high-pitched voice, and I would start bursting out in laughter AGAIN & AGAIN! HAHA... It was so good to laugh under the power of God! So refreshing! Ps D power man... Thanks Ps for such a wonderful meeting! AND God is awesome...

17-18/5 - Holy Ghost meetings @ RW. Ps Aries & Sandy called it BET's faith & healing campaign...HAHA! It was good AND I believe as we keep on hungering after God, His presence & power, the mtgs will grow in strength & anointing! AMEN!!!

19/5 - Presence of God was very strong in W351 CG mtg. Everyone was weeping ALOT during the altar call. Not because of a broken heart..broken by the world and hurts... BUT because we experienced the strong love & assurance from God. God, you are so so so so so so good no matter what....

20/5 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY Joseph! He proposed to Emily also.... He composed a song and played it on the guitar for Em... So sweet la... Hmm... I wonder if it sounded nice?? heehee....

AND tomorrow is MONDAY again! Times really flies! So many things I want to do tomorrow.... I really wonder if I can accomplish everything in 1 day...

1. Work

2. Go for my over-dued facial appointment

3. Perm my hair?? Or should I just color? Hmmm...

4. Visit Debbie

5. Give BSes to my St Hilda's boys

6. Maybe shop alittle? & MUST

7. Spend time with Jared...

God, multiply my time!

Some links to home interior designs that I was drooling over last night....

1. Northwest Design
Look under Residential...
http://www.northwestinterior.com/portfolio.html
I love the living room, bedroom, dining room & toilets (leather-padded cupboards!)

2. Linewerkz
Look under Residential again...
http://www.linewerkz.com/projects.html
Look at Senja Road, Punggol, Pasir Panjang (I LOVE their living room!).

3. Ciseern
http://www.ciseern.com/
Love their toilets. kitchens are good for consideration, under Residential- Bukit Batok looks like what we've been talking about but after looking at so many good stuffs...my idea of just B, W & R seemed a little a little boring!

Most important thing i noticed... Most of the beautiful houses have green plants! They seem to add their bright, lively, energetic colors to the houses.

Prayer meetings

This week has been the most prayer filled week for a long time! Monday - Staff PM with SOT students, Tuesday - Leaders meeting, Wednesday - Last minute staff PM, Thursday - Break (so far), Friday - CG meeting, Saturday - CG meeting 2 + Sermon on the Mount L3, Sunday - Sermon on the Mount L4.

No wonder Ps Kong always says we are supernaturally natural and naturally supernatural! My department (HR & Office Admin dept) is administratively pastoral and pastorally administrative as well! HAHA!

But I am really enjoying all the praying! Today Ps Aries led the staff PM. He shared with us that it might seem as if we keep on having prayer meetings and praying for the same thing BUT whenever we pray, it's not just the content or frequency, it's getting CONNECTED to God, our Vine.

John 15 says," 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. "

So, pray, pray, pray... get connected to the Vine... and WHATEVER we do will bear MORE fruits.

BURDENED!!!

This week as I was praying.... The no. 1 thing on my prayer list, something that i feel most burdened is the state of the members. After Sunday service, when i was doing my debriefing, I just felt some of them didn't GET IT. To me it was WOW WOW WOW... but why is it that some of them seemed nonchalant, unchanged & untouched?? How come their eyes were not teary?? When I asked some of them how was the sermon, one said, " Oh, good!" , another said, " OK lor..." When I heard these answers, I was just FRUSTRATED. How God? Why God?

I just feel many members are not broken YET... I've been praying and am still praying, asking the Holy Spirit to come to this week's CG meeting to break this 'shell'... break away any hard ground... Really burdened... God, you MUST come and do your work... In order to have revival in the CG, the members must 'break'.... God, hear my cry!!!

The Beatitudes

Just came back from a good early morning jog! I am having my fav b'fast food- tou hua while blogging... Yesterday I worked until 2am, fell asleep and continued this morning from 6-8am. It feels great NOT to go back to sleep! Sometimes, I feel sleeping is a waste of time. BUT, my flesh sometimes gets overwhelming...

On Sat, Ps Kong started a brand new bible study series on the Sermon on the Mount. It's been a lllooonnnggg time since Ps preached this kind of a sermon to us. I felt so excited especially when Ps told us that this could be the most important and life-changing message he would ever preach in church. I was prepared to chew, and munch, and savour every word that proceeded...

On Sat, I was sitting outside listening. And what impacted me MOST were 2 things:

1. The Beatitudes are Be-attitudes. They got to do with the being/attitudes/motivations and not the doing.

I feel sometimes when I am not careful, too busy, too caught up with stuffs and I can have a wrong attitude to things. I want to REPENT and go back to the place whereby everything I do, I do it for Him & His kingdom.

Everything really boils down to ATTITUDE. And I feel attitude got to do with trusting in God no matter what happens, who does what or says what to you. We trust God... Have a great attitude and the right motivation!

2. Being sensitive to God.

I can remember, Ps stretched out 1 hand, and asked," What has God been speaking to you about your work? Your ministry? Relationship?" --Pause--

What a much-needed reminder! What has God been speaking to me, about all these areas in my life? I think I speak to God about them almost all the time instead!

So that night... I really seeked the Lord to speak to me about the areas in my life. And to my surprise, God's word came quicker than I expected!

Ministry: He reminded me of the Great Commission. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. "

I really got to TEACH the members, and MAKE disciples. Many times we just leave them in their 'current state'... wrong attitudes, wrong values, not-too-good characters... BUT that's my job as a CGL! To TEACH and MAKE them more & more like Jesus!

Work: Be faithful in the little things.

O man... Yes God... So many little things, details that have been overlooked... I got to be much more faithful! So, started thinking since my QT about how I can increase my faithfulness... *Think*

Sunday's service was even more tremendous! Before Ps reached the altar call, I was already tearing. I was soooo hungry of more of Him. VERY... When Ps laid hands on us CGLs, my spirit was reaching out to Him. "God I want to be very very very poor in my spirit. Want to be like the woman with the issue of blood reaching out to You..." When Ps touched my head, "BAM!" the floodgates was COMPLETELY loosed.

"I WANT TO SING

UNTIL I AM LOST IN YOUR LOVE

TILL I'M FOUND IN YOUR PRESENCE

WORSHIPPING BEFORE YOUR THRONE

MOVE BY YOUR SPIRIT

ENTERING INTO YOUR FLOW

HOW PRECIOUS THIS MOMENT

LORD I WANT YOU TO KNOW

IT'S YOU, YOU WHO HAVE WON MY HEART

TAKEN ME INTO YOUR ARMS

COMFORTED ME LIKE A FRIEND

YOUR LOVE SURROUNDED ME FROM THE START

I NEVER WANT TO BE APART

FROM YOU EVER AGAIN"

WE GOT OUR NEW FLAT!!! J+J @ Bedok North Road

And yes, may I repeat it again..... Jared & I got our new flat upon our 1st application! How blessed can we get?? Eugene smsed him this afternoon to say that he got rejected for the 3rd time round... But we got it our FIRST time! Thank You God! YOU are really really good to us! :)))

I remembered when we first applied for the flat in March, my CG was discussing which bus to take to the NEW cg location! I was telling them off... Nothing's confirmed! But now on hindsight, their words created my world! Well, the Bible did say the faith of your friends matter to God, and to your miracle! Thank You Jesus once again!!!

So anyone wants to makan at Blk 85 market, pls feel free to chio me. I am just about 200 steps away!

Can't wait to do the renovations and more so, can't wait to buy furniture! Bed, TV, fridge, washing machine, stove, lights, cabinets, sofa, tables, iron, & more... & more cute stuffs!

Hmm... Jared allowed me to choose only THREE colors. I can deco any part of the house except for his property- the toilet. Hee hee.... Not a bad deal... Well, I really am thinking about black, white & red colors for the house. And plants.... Arh! Niceeeeee.... But then again, I dun really have green fingers, so MAYBE I will settle for artificial ones. But do you know that plants (real ones of coz!) can help to improve the air quality indoors?

I passed by Harvey Norman @ Millenia 3 days ago... and secretly snapped some pics of their display bedrooms... So nice. Each with a different colored theme. I did not manage to snap my fav. bedroom because there was this fierce looking security looking at me by the time I came to it. As you may guess, my fav. bedroom colors were... black, white & red!

Pretty in pink... Jared would disagree GREATLY.

Gold, green and some pink overtones... rich feel...

Red, pink and brown... grand feel...

Blue, green, white... modern city feel....

The deco outside my fav bedroom... So cool! I like!

Well, thinking of moving over to the new place would be a headache, yet perhaps quite a fun time. Have to move my tons of clothes, shoes & earrings over. Cannot imagine.

Anyway, was cleaning my shoes last night. Thought it was quite fun to count all the shoes I have currently... Jared please put on your seat belt. This collection is like I said, CURRENT, dated 3.54.07... I hope you give me room to grow... Heehee!

May Day

Had been busy the last few days... doing the envelopes thingy, doing household chores(!), May Day, attending wedding & wedding fairs....

Well, Saturday was great because Jared & I attending our much awaited Hotel Grand Plaza wedding fair! And, coincidentally, we met his primary sch best friend who happened to be my JC 1st 3 months' badminton team mate - Eugene.

We signed the package, had a tour of the rooms, had high tea (goodness, some couples really ate with a vengence!), watched a fashion show & stayed for the (not)lucky draw...

Here are the rooms we saw:

PRESIDENTIAL SUITE

Living room... Full length windows- my favorite

Dining room

Look at it! It's DOUBLE storey with a spiral stairway! We were wondering...FOR WHAT?! Play Hide & Seek? Get our families over for chalet?? Zone evangelistic meeting?

Bedroom

Walk-in wardrobe.... And again... FOR WHAT?! Unless I am going to stay for over a week!

Toilet

ORIENTAL SUITE

I quite like the look in the room. Dark colors with green plants and contemporary oriental designs.
The design they created on the bed.... makes the bed look... DIRTY! Would you sleep in a pile of dying, rotting rose petals??

I like the dark color marble tiling in the toilet... So high class...
And of course, I saved the best for last...the room we are getting...

GOVERNOR SUITE

Living room.... In dee romantic mood...

Side table deco... I love the look of the strawberries & heart shape formed by rose petals!

And the best of the bestest in this room.... an outdoor...

JACUZZI!!!

"It's you, you who have won our hearts... taken me into your arms..." HAHA! No need to even think & consider, we'll have this room please!!!

Well, here's another spa, in the hotel...exclusively for women...

So...wah! But honestly, I am not really into spas.... Can't stand doing nothing for an hour plus... It's the busy Singaporean syndrome. Heehee...

Anyway, we also got a cute teddy bear couple for FREE for signing the package on that day. Well, see if you can spot them in our deco on our actual wedding day!

ADRIEL LIM & EUNICE ONG'S WEDDING
Congrats! It's amazing to see Eunice, Val's best friend since Sec 1, finally getting married. She did an outdoor wedding, the 1st one ever @ SMU... After the Holy Mat, there was a sit down buffet luncheon at the field. It was quite nice except that it was drizzling and the field was muddy. Lavish Catering did a good job of serving piping hot food on the spot! Quite an English feel... But I guess we would not do this... Too humid and warm!

Like what Ps AZ said during the wedding, it felt like a celebrity wedding. Cameras were all on the couple when they recited their vows. Well, free publicity for the Uni ... And Eunice invited her ex-colleagues from Channel News Asia... So they had to bring their cameras along i guess. Plus+, their secondary school classmate cum netball team mate- FIONA XIE was there with her family.

Here's some photos of the deco...ideas for my wedding deco IC!

Flower stand by the aisle, and chair deco. Quite like the green & cream comby.... Looks good for an outdoor wedding!
Lunch table
6A.M. @ Changi Airport on 30th April 2007...

Sun is BACK! The staff and her fans were there to welcome her back...finally after 9 months!
Her fans welcomed her back by singing 1 of her songs... Well, tears started welling up in my eyes. Sun must be the most obedient, courageous woman of God around man...
Sun looking so good even though it's 6am and after a flight!

All of us EXCEPT for SUN, has 6am written all over our faces! ;p
Dayan! Looking rather tired... Don't you think he looks more & more like his mum? In fact, he looks like a South Korean star baby!

Good friend Ethan Dunn to his rescue! The latter gave Dayan a friend friend hug to welcome him back to Singapore! Soooo.... sweet!

Well, May Day Family Day was a success! Besides the free handphone for CGLs, (who wants a red Nokia 5200 in exchange for the Sony Ericcson W200i??), it's also so good to see Sun performing... And reunited with her family esp with PK! Watch out for her English dance album out the end of this year!
